	*Batangas,a province in the central Philippines, found in the southern part of Luzon Island. Batangas is an important seaport and trade centre for the province, which is a sugar-growing region. Silk and cotton fabrics and coconut oil are manufactured in the city, and popular in making of balisong, a sharp local knife from Batangas. [More Information ...] Samahang Batangueño*, a civic organization formed by a group of Filipino expatriates working in Abu Dhabi, United Arab of Emirates who are primarily originated from the Province of Batangas. The Organization is a recognized club by the Embassy of the Philippines in Abu Dhabi and now composes of 150 registered members.


	*Objectives:* To promote brotherly and sisterly relations among all members with the end view of achieving the spirit of oneness. To unite all Batangueños working in the United Arab of Emirates. To maintain constant communication among all members during his/her period of stay in the United Arab of Emirates. To extend support for each member as well as less fortunate people from the province of Batangas, Philippines.


	*Foundation Day:* The Organization is founded by two Batangueños on May 31, 1999. *Founders:* Mervin Levita, from Bolbok, Batangas City Philippines, Armando Leus, from San Antonio, Sto. Tomas Batangas Philippines, and all pioneer SB officers and members from the different places in Batangas Province.
